The Australian Financial Review has reported that Nanshan Group is behind the acquisition of the Pullman Sydney Airport hotel currently being developed by Goodman Group.

Co-founded by Zuowen Song, one of China's richest men, the group reportedly paid around $84 million for the hotel.

The 229-room, five-star hotel on O'Riordan Street, Mascot, is due to open in the last quarter for 2016. The hotel is part of a $100 million development being undertaken by Goodman that will also include office and retail spaces.

Once completed, the new hotel will be operated by Accor Australia under a management agreement. It was marketed by Peter Harper of Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels.
