The $42m second stage of Anthony John Group’s master-planned East Village community in Cannon Hill has sold out with all 98 apartments being secured well in advance of completion in mid-2016.
The now completed first stage of the development, The Courtyards, also sold out prior to its completion in late 2014.
Anthony John Group CEO Shane Bulloch said further evidence that Cannon Hill’s reputation was rising could be seen in the volume of residential development underway.
“There is a serious wave of development in Cannon Hill with literally hundreds of apartments across multiple sites planned or under construction, all within a short radius of East Village,” Mr Bulloch said.
“Proximity to East Village is a key benefit promoted by every single one of these developments, which I think is something we can be proud of.
"Anthony John Group set out to change the face of Cannon Hill and that is exactly what we are doing.”
East Village’s next residential stage is planned for release in early 2016, comprising a mix of 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments.
A high street with supermarket, boutique retail, restaurants and bars is also set to be delivered on completion of this stage.
In time, the $600 million 6 hectare development will see approximately 700 dwellings in total built as well as a mix of commercial and retail.
