Land Acquisition Paves Way For $60 Million Buddina Project

A $60 million beachside apartment project awaits official launch this year after project developers secured a parcel of residential lots in Buddina.

Buddina Urban Development Group's Jason Hague announced that settlement had been reached on six residential land lots for approximately $5.5 million.

Totalling 3,878 square metres, the site will become home to the beachside apartment project known as The Hedge at Buddina.

“The Hedge at Buddina will be close to schools, bus links, major shopping and professional services including the new $2.03 billion Sunshine Coast University Hospital within the $5 billion Kawana Health Precinct," Mr Hague said.

“With a patrolled beach and local surf club at its doorstep, the project also adjoins the newly upgraded Kawana Shoppingworld which has been earmarked for further major improvements in the coming years including a cinema complex and new specialty shops."The Hedge at Buddina will include a selection of 92 one, two and three bedroom apartments up to 158 square metres in size over five storeys, plus nine ground-floor commercial opportunities. Plans are also in place to include up to five penthouses in the project, although the timeframe for these is unconfirmed.

The Hedge will also include landscaped communal spaces with gardens, pool, gym and terrace gardens.

"The Sunshine Coast is one of Australia’s top 10 urban areas and is fast becoming one of Australia’s leading regional economies," Mr Hague said.
