Development Site In Leppington Sold To Chinese Buyer


A Chinese developer has paid $10.5 million for a mixed-use site at Leppington in Sydney's south-west. The site was acquired from a deceased estate.

The 5.6ha (55,900sqm) residential development site at 120 Ingleburn Road, Leppington is situated South-East of Leppington Town Centre facing Ingleburn Road.

The property is the first of its kind located within the recently released Leppington North precinct of the South-West growth centre. The precinct offers favourable zoning controls offering tremendous development potential.

The site is within 1 km of the Leppington train station and has easy access to the M7 and M5 Motorways and is about 50 minutes to the Sydney CBD.'The Austral and Leppington North Precincts were rezoned for urban development in March 2013.

The Precincts will deliver capacity for approximately 17,350 new homes for over 54,000 residents. When fully developed the Precincts will also feature:

  • Leppington Major Centre with regional shopping, employment, cultural and community facilities
  • New Leppington station
  • 3 neighbourhood centres
  • 220 hectares of employment land
  • 135 hectares of open space and recreation areas
  • Upgrades to major roads
  • New primary and high schools
  • Protection of 116 hectares of significant vegetation, and major creek corridors
  • New pedestrian and cycle link.
