Developer Sunvale Development is hoping to transform the Southbank skyline in Melbourne after lodging a planning application for a 170m-high residential tower.
Sunvale Development is seeking to build a 55-storey tower comprising 361 apartments at 65-71 Haig Street.
Designed by Fender Katsalidis Architects, the development would feature a mix of one and two bedroom designs, with 134 one-bedroom apartments and 227 two bedroom apartments.
[urbanRelatedPost][/urbanRelatedPost]The proposed development would have a gross floor area of 32, 262.7sqm and offer 376sqm of resident common area, 118sqm of retail space fronting Haig Street, 93 car parks plus 268 bicycle places.
The site is currently home to a double-storey commercial building and vacant open-air car park.
Sunvale Development has nominated construction firm Built as an early contractor if the proposal gets the green light.
