Work commences at ‘Willowdale’ master planned community in south-west Sydney


Stockland has commenced early works at its new 350-hectare greenfield residential development, ‘Willowdale

’, located in East Leppington south-west of Sydney.

Willowdale is bordered by Camden Valley Way, Denham Court Road and St Andrews Road and is located just 1.5km from the soon-to-be-completed Leppington Train Station, which will form part of the new, much-anticipated South West Rail Link, due for completion in 2016.

Lots will range in size from 350sqm to 600sqm, with land prices starting at $229,000. The first settlements are expected in June 2014, with the first homes expected to be completed and ready for the first residents to move in by Christmas 2014.

Group Executive and CEO Residential at Stockland, Andrew Whitson, said Willowvale will become the Group’s largest master planned community in New South Wales.

“We’ve thought of everything for new residents at Willowdale,” Mr Whitson said.

“It will be our biggest and, arguably, our best new residential community in New South Wales.

“Willowdale will become a beautiful, green residential community that will include a major supermarket and neighbourhood shops, schools, cycleways, walking paths and 25 hectares of sporting fields, parks and playgrounds.”

The first ever blocks of land were released to a VIP database 24 August and 100% of all available lots were sold on the day. Stockland will be releasing additional lots for sale in the coming weeks.

Stockland says new home owners at Willowdale will benefit from the government’s multi-billion dollar investment in new rail and road upgrades, connecting home owners and families to local employment centres, educational facilities, shopping centres and nearby recreational areas.

“Willowdale is a great location within the Scenic Hills area of Sydney’s booming South West, which is a short commute to major employments centres,” said Mr Whitson.

“Willowdale’s undulating, tree-lined hills offer lots with views of the Blue Mountains and will provide residents with an excellent lifestyle within striking distance of the Illawarra Coast and Southern Highlands.”
