BPM has appointed residential builder, Icon Co, to construct its $300 million Shadow Play residential development at South Melbourne.
Icon Co will be responsible for delivering the project at 105 Clarendon Street with construction of the 46 level tower commencing this month and completion expected in May 2018.
Designed by architects Elenberg Fraser with interiors by Hecker Guthrie, Shadow Play will comprise 475 one, two and three bedroom apartments, as well as 150 car parks and a 600 square metre residents- only communal space on level nine.
BPM founder and company director, Jonathan Hallinan, said the appointment of Icon Co followed the construction company’s recent shift in focus to the Tier 1 project market, as well as its partnership with Japanese construction giant, Kajima Corporation.
Shadow Play launched to market in February 2015 and is 85 percent sold. The penthouse was sold to a local purchaser in June 2015 for $10.4 million. Originally, the 45th level was five separate apartments but will now be combined into one state-of-the art penthouse totalling 712 square metres.
