Mirvac’s Flagship WA Office Tower Opens New Retail Precinct

Perth's newly refurbished CBD retail precinct, Underground at Allendale Square, officially opened last week with a public launch event for the Perth CBD.

The event marked the completion of the extensive refurbishment of Mirvac’s flagship West Australian office tower, Allendale Square, and its underground retail precinct.

According to Mirvac, Allendale Square is already 99% leased.

Mirvac Group Executive Andrew Butler said the completion of the refurbishment at Allendale Square was a significant milestone.

The entrance to the office building was upgraded with a dramatic glass canopy designed by Christou Architecture.

As the architects that led the refurbishment, Christou also revitalised the Sherwood Court entrance to encourage pedestrian movement to and from the Swan River, Elizabeth Quay and Allendale Square.

To further activate the public plaza, a piece of artwork by Anne Neil was installed in May 2017.

The upgrade of Allendale Square contributes to the revitalisation of Perth’s CBD by improving pedestrian pathways from St Georges Terrace to Elizabeth Quay and creating a thoroughfare with access to major transport hubs in the city.

Allendale Square is located in close proximity to all amenities including shops, bus stops and the Esplanade train station, with a convenient thoroughfare to the rest of the city to Hay St Mall and Elizabeth Quay.
