Melbourne CBD high rise building Eq. Tower was named as one of Australia’s top residential high rise developments at the Asia Pacific Property Awards in Bangkok, representing one of several Australian projects to claim an international award.
The 65-storey tower - the first for ICD Property - was recognised on 26 May as an Award Winner in the Residential High Rise Development category and the Five-Star Winner in the Residential High Rise Architecture category.
Pellicano and Perri Projects’ $600 million new lifestyle precinct in Brisbane’s Woolloongabba - South City Square - also won an award for best mixed-use development.
Perri Projects and Pellicano established an industry-leading design team for South City Square, with each consultant bringing their specialist areas to the complex and integrated project. Woods Bagot, DBI Design, Oculus, and Six Degrees, along with the two developers, worked together to create a project that will provide an exemplary new lifestyle destination where residents and the wider Brisbane population can live, shop, eat, and be entertained.
Melbourne's Eq. Tower contains 633 one, two and three bedroom apartments, ground level laneway retail precinct, communal amenities and six levels of car parking. Designed by architects Elenberg Fraser, Eq. Tower features a curtain wall glass facade designed using a parametric equation, which analysed weather patterns, sunlight, views and apartment usageCompleted in April 2017, Eq. Tower was developed by ICD Property through a joint venture with Chinese company Sino-Ocean Land. According to Matt Khoo, Deputy Managing Director at ICD Property, Eq. Tower is a major achievement for the Melbourne-based developer.
