The second Brisbane Developers Forum was held on Thursday evening (August 20) at Friday’s Riverside Bar where 130 members of the Brisbane development community gathered with Lord Mayor Graham Quirk to discuss what is happening at the coal face.
The event was hosted by Dan Holden (Director of HoldenCAPITAL) and Daniel Erez (Director of Newground Property) and was aimed at connecting Brisbane developers with current industry information.
Lord Mayor Graham Quirk addressed the developers followed by guest speaker Matthew Gross who spoke about up-to-date development research and data, ensuring the developers left informed and ready to take on their next project.
Attendees networked whilst enjoying drinks and canapés and also had an opportunity to have their photo taken on the red carpet with the Lord Mayor.
The Lord Mayor's message about Brisbane being the place to be in terms of development projects including Queens Wharf, Howard Smith Wharves revitalisation and the Brisbane Airport upgrade was clear in the opportunity to position Brisbane into a first choice destination as Australia's Asia-Pacific city, was well received by attendees.
Newground Property's Daniel Erez said, "Everyone attending has an active interest in Brisbane being a more progressive city and attaining more visibility.
"It was great to hear our city's leader deliver such a strong and clear message about the opportunity in front of us, and for this event to become such a good forum for sharing ideas."
