Billbergia and
AMP Capital have submitted a redesign to the approved plans to develop 111+222 in Brisbane's CBD.
111+222 comprises three towers featuring a 5 star hotel, commercial and residential towers in the long-vacant Brisbane CBD site on 111 Mary St and 222 Margaret St.
Expected to be one of Australia’s tallest buildings, the 274 metre high, 99 storey tower will house a 380+ room hotel with ballroom, restaurants, bars, cafes and retail frontage.
1100 residential apartments share this tower, a mix of studio, one two and three bedroom apartments.
An adjacent 41 storey tower will feature A-Grade environmentally rated commercial space.
The new design gives the joint venture partners an option to change the use of the secondary 41 level tower from office to hotel, however the original office proposal still stands if the developer is able to secure a precommitment for the office component.
Other changes to the design include three residential reception decks with pools and changes to podium and street level.
AMP Capital and Billbergia are soon to launch the long-planned apartment tower later this year.
The first development component is 8 levels of underground parking with 980 spaces.
Construction is well underway with completion expected imminently.
