Broadbeach's Only New Development To Walk The Runway Before Construction

Screen-Shot-2017-01-11-at-1

An original 1970s beachfront unit block in Broadbeach has been renovated to showcase Reed Property Group's luxury new Astoria development, which will include 16 half and full floor 'house - sized' apartments.

The former 'Bel Brae' apartment building is being used to showcase the quality of Broadbeach's only new beachfront development, with a replica kitchen built as part of a new sales suite for Astoria.

Bel Brae will be demolished to make way for Astoria, which is expected to commence construction later this year.

Astoria's showcase will now include a walk through of a replica kitchen, which boasts Siemens appliances, 2 pac cabinetry, natural stone benchtops, a butler's pantry and views of the ocean - which is less than 50 metres away.

Astoria has been designed by Arqus Design.

"The fact that Astoria is the only new beachfront project in Broadbeach - and that it's boutique, with just 16 apartments - gave us a great canvas to work from and a real opportunity to create something unique and special," Arqus Design Director Scott Peabody said.

"We chose to showcase the kitchen because it is the social centrepiece of many homes and it's often the best measure of the standard of inclusions and finishes throughout the property - and this is certainly the case at Astoria.

"The premium look and feel of the kitchen is carried right throughout the apartment, with natural stone floor tiles in all living areas and bathrooms, custom-made cabinetry, 100% wool carpet to the bedrooms and ducted air conditioning.

"The decision to utilise the Bel Brae apartment block as a sales and display suite also means that buyers can see where their new apartment will be built and get a sense of the beachfront views on offer from the balcony."

Mr Peabody says each apartment has been designed to take advantage of the development's front row seat to the ocean.

"The master bedroom, living and dining areas all open out onto a beachfront balcony with over 30 square metres of private entertainment space, which is complemented by a 90 square metre communal rooftop terrace with a pool and additional barbeque area.

"Each apartment has its own private foyer entry via a lift, and those who choose a full floor apartment have the option to create a bar or library at the centre of their home as an additional entertainment area.

"The full floor apartments - which offer up to 288 square metres of space - have a second oversized bedroom with a wall-length wardrobe, ensuite and private balcony, with another two bedrooms with access to a guest bathroom.

"The apartments are bright, breezy and are a contemporary interpretation of the traditional Gold Coast beachfront abode. They are designed to function as both a space to entertain and enjoy solitude and would be well suited to those downsizing from a beachfront home."Astoria is located at 31 Broadbeach Boulevard, Broadbeach.
