Built Environment Meets Parliament Finds Sponsor

b

UrbanGrowth NSW will be the Principal Sponsor of Built Environment Meets Parliament (BEMP) NSW, a milestone forum between industry and government to be held in August.

The forum is sponsored by Minister for Planning the Hon. Rob Stokes MP, and coordinated by industry association Consult Australia in consultation with BEMP NSW Partners the Green Building Council of Australia, Australian Institute of Architects, and the Planning Institute of Australia, with the support of the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects.

The focus of BEMP NSW will be on presenting new information and insights into how we consider our urban environments, and deliver better design, planning, policy, funding and infrastructure.

The overall theme for the forum is The New Great Australian Dream: How can we deliver quality urban living?
”As the NSW Government’s urban transformation agency, our vision is to create a globally competitive Sydney and NSW. To do this, it’s critical that we collaborate with industry and our government partners to achieve world class public outcomes,” said UrbanGrowth NSW Acting Chief Executive Julian Frecklington.

Effective engagement between the public and private sector is critical to ensure our cities and regional towns meet the needs of their communities according to Matthew Trigg, State Manager for New South Wales with industry association Consult Australia.

“The need for and importance of this forum can be seen in the dozens of parliamentarians who have already confirmed their attendance, the advisors that will be attending and the numbers of industry stakeholders already registered.”

“The BEMP Partner associations have been able to secure a great line up of speakers. This will definitely move the debate forward.”
