One of Australia’s leading law firms, Allens Arthur Robinson, occupies seven floors of 101 Collins Street as an anchor tenant.
In 2012, leading fitout and refurbishment specialist ISIS, together with BVN Architecture, undertook the project to create a fully integrated working environment for the law firm’s more than 600 staff.
The 12,190 square metre project included the fitout of 272 offices and 30 meeting rooms, creating an environment that fosters collaboration and communicationDesigned by BVN Architecture, the fitout included the installation of a large steel feature staircase that connects the 35th to 40th floors in three separate segments.
Load bearing alternations to the buildings steel structure were made as the three metre sections were joined together in-situ to ensure structural integrity during construction.
The project included six levels of staff office space, including individual offices and open plan work areas, staff meeting rooms and spaces, reception area, commercial kitchen and function room, auditorium, client meeting rooms and a library.
One level is dedicated to external clients and was designed to reflect an art gallery.
The $5 million refurbishment was completed in April 2012.
