Revitalised Carter Street Precinct a Development ‘Game Changer’

0f33c470-543f-4c4c-a77a-96b16051d91f

As the NSW Department of Planning and Environment continues to consult on the draft revised master plan for the Carter Street Precinct, developers are jumping at the opportunity to become part of one of Sydney's most exciting residential pockets.

The master plan for Carter Street Precinct is designed to improve connections between both Sydney Olympic Park and Parramatta CBD, and improve access to the M4 motorway – making residents feel connected to a number of communities and able to easily access the wider area.

The draft master plan also includes a proposal for the extension of the Parramatta Light Rail into the precinct, which will include a light rail stop in the heart of the village centre.

The revision of the master plan also includes significant adjustments to the public domain – including a primary school, green spaces and improved walking and cycling tracks – helping Carter Street deliver outstanding social, economic and environmental benefits for Sydney residents and developers.

With the Sydney Olympic Park Master Plan 2030 receiving approval in August 29, the surrounding area is positioned to become a central hub for residents, businesses, retail and hospitality venues.

One developer making the most of the reinvigoration of the Lidcombe area is international development group YMCI, who announced plans in March 2017 for Ovation Quarter, a project that will form an integral part of the urban regeneration of the Carter Street Precinct.

Ovation Quarter is being brought to life by Australia YMCI (AYMCI), a subsidiary of YMCI who have a successful history of delivering major urban and environment projects that each offer significant commercial, retail and residential assets.

In line with the Carter Street Precinct master plan, AYMCI is providing land for a new public primary school and the designs for community parks, a high street and town centre with generous restaurant, café and retail offerings.

Once complete, AYMCI’s Ovation Quarter will consist of 3,000 architecturally-designed, luxury apartments that will capitalise on the predicted growth of the local area.

The vibrant lifestyle offerings are suited for both first home buyers and investors who enjoy a progressive way of life within an accessible price point.

The first three Ovation Quarter towers offers 421 spacious one, two and three bedroom apartments that focus on space, sustainable materials and intuitive layouts

The highly sought after Emerald Tower (stage one of Ovation Quarter) offers 170 spacious one, two and three bedroom apartments that focus on space, sustainable materials and intuitive layouts, while the much anticipated Sapphire (stage two) has just been launched to the public.

Emerald and Sapphire are both driven by expansive living, design-inspired spaces and superior sustainable features intended to create a quality lifestyle destination.

Positioned in Lidcombe (just 40 minutes from the City’s CBD) and on the fringe of Sydney Olympic Park, the project capitalises on the commercial and employment opportunities offered by the modernisation of the area.

Ovation Quarter is a product of several Australian residential property experts including Kann Finch and Urbanite, giving the project a uniquely contemporary style of Australian living.

The precinct aims to draw on the surrounding amenity to deliver an exemplar of modern living that can keep up with the design and planning principles of the Carter Street Precinct, while complementing the ambitious designs featured in the retail, commercial and public space areas.

The first two releases (Emerald and Sapphire) are going followed by Ruby (stage three) – in an move that will offer a further range of affordable, luxury apartments specifically designed to capture the views and capitalise on the lifestyle offered from the rapidly growing Sydney community.

Ovation Quarter is set to become a cornerstone development within the Carter Street Precinct, and will see the creation of a vibrant new hub surrounded by Sydney’s unique expansive parkland and open spaces.

For more information on Emerald and future stages of the project, see Ovation Quarter’s website.
