Citibank secures 141 Queen Street for new Brisbane flagship

C

Jones Lang LaSalle have negotiated a ten year lease to Citibank at 141 Queen Street, Brisbane for approximately $1 million per annum.

141 Queen Street is located on the corner of Queen and Albert Streets, in the middle of the Queen Street Mall, Brisbane’s prime retail district.

The deal was negotiated exclusively by Jones Lang LaSalle’s Cameron Taudevin.

“Previously located off the mall at the General Post Office building on Queen Street, the repositioning of both location and their latest branch format had made global player Citibank a major competitor in the local market,” said Mr. Taudevin.

The 359sqm tenancy is split over two levels with the ground floor comprising 115sqm and level one measuring 244sqm.

The location, formally leased to international brand Guess, will now be Citibank’s new CBD flagship branch, catering for both business and individual customers.

Citibank had been searching for a flagship branch site in Brisbane since 2011 before securing the QIC-owned 141 Queen Street building.
