Opportunities for developments within Bulimba are limited, but four have emerged as big - albeit some of the only - players in the Bulimba development game.
Both the Bloom and Parkside developments in Bulimba both were both declared sold out in December 2015.
Barca by APH Property, at 47-59 Byron Street Bulimba, is selling just 21 apartments on the riverfront precinct of Byron Street with prices starting from $1.7 million, while The Boatyard by HG Developments offers the fourth recent development in the area with the project featuring four buildings with 27 two, three and four-bedroom apartments, as well as six marina berths. The writer's requests for The Boatyard's pricing was not returned.
Designer Elizabeth Anderson from Hayes Anderson Lynch Architects said the apartments in the Concorde development were more like houses than traditional apartments in terms of not only size but design and amenity.
“What you’re getting with this development is a really generous high-end apartment designed as a house replacement with ample storage areas, large kitchens, big dramatic entries and lots of cross-ventilation, with the apartments all open on two or three sides and the rooms being free flowing from the internal to external areas,” she said.
Concorde is expected to be completed within the second quarter of 2017, with only four of the nine being sold off the plan.
All developments are a few minutes from Bulimba Barracks where Brisbane City Council has a masterplan to create a mixed-use community including apartments, parkland, retail and commercial outlets.
