Construction Of The Portside Wharf 'Pinnacle' Development Commences

Pinnacle, has begun construction with the 16 level luxury apartment building expecting completion by 2015.

Located 6km from Brisbane’s CBD, Pinnacle forms part of the Portside Wharf mixed-use development and comprises 162 one, two and three-bedroom apartments, terrace homes and penthouses.

Designed by Noel Robinson Architects, Pinnacle at Portside Wharf will be the fifth residential building at the riverfront precinct after Loft, Infinity, Flare and Promenade.

The construction was unveiled at the end of last week by Brisbane Lord Mayor, Graham Quirk, and Brookfield Residential Properties

 director, Lee Butterworth.

“Pinnacle will be the first residential building constructed at Portside Wharf since works began on Promenade in late 2010, proving we have weathered the global financial crisis and are ready to move forward with the development of this iconic address,” said Lee Butterworth.

The final stage has been released and with strong off the plan sales, Pinnacle has been well received with a total of $54 million of sales so far.

The apartments range in size from 58sqm to 241sqm and are priced from $360,000 to $2.4 million, with more than 70% of the offerings with river views. Open plan living and generously-sized balconies as key features of Pinnacle while inside, superior features and finishes will include European appliances, integrated dishwasher and microwave, recessed downlighting and quality wool carpet.

Pinnacle will also include a rooftop terrace with a pool, BBQ, gym, entertainment area and onsite guards and management.

The Brisbane waterfront will be redeveloped under the greater Northshore Hamilton plan, with new retail precincts, residential options and green space all earmarked for the area.

It in a high demand area with more than 250,000 visitors each year come to the area through the Cruise Ship Terminal.

Portside Wharf is also home to more than 30 retailers including Dendy Cinema, IGA supermarket, Jetts Fitness, Urbbana and Ella Bache, as well as a number of Brisbane’s best waterfront fine dining restaurants including Sono, Byblos, Gusto da Gianni, Restaurant Manx and Belvedere.
