Residential Property: Tracking the Covid-19 Impact

9db0fab4-fdc8-4fc8-bac6-59273f558a95

Over the course of several weeks, the property industry has been sharing with us their experiences and responses to the Covid-19 pandemic.

While every situation is different, there has been a range of common themes emerging—the need to reduce organisational costs, remain agile and responsive, engage closely with project partners while sharing the pain and opportunity with stakeholders.

As signs now emerge that the spread of the pandemic is stabilising in Australia and major policy responses such as the job keeper initiative, a moratorium on tenant evictions, a mandatory code of conduct for commercial tenancies and a range of state-funded stimulus—the industry can now start to ponder the future.

So what does the future look like for Australia's largest sector, residential property?

After much hard work, The Urban Developer is proud to re-launch our former residential development summit as a virtual “Residential vSummit” conference.

The Residential vSummit will be held over four days later this month and focus on three metropolitan cities: Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

The virtual format will bring together a range of outstanding speakers for a series of keynotes, panel discussions, case studies and interviews.

The event will also be tackling Covid-19 head-on by revealing expert insights into its likely impact on residential property.

“There's no better way to help answer the questions raised by Covid-19 than to tap into our network of industry experts and leaders,” The Urban Developer chief executive Adam Di Marco said.

“We want to know the answers ourselves and this is the fastest and most direct way for us to find them.

“It is our response to ensuring the industry remains informed, inspired and connected during this time.”

Sessions will cover developer sentiment, buyer behaviour, project funding, construction issues, planning and policy, sustainability, design and more.

Attendees will be provided virtual access to livestream sessions along with on-demand access for every session after the event.

The event will occur over four days from Tuesday 28 April until Friday 1 May 2020. Tickets can be purchased for one-day access ($150 plus GST) or unlimited access ($199 plus GST).
