Plans has been filed with the City of Yarra Council for a nine-storey office tower in Melbourne’s inner south-east.
The plans by the Vered Trust are for a 782.5sq m site at 34-42 Cremorne Street, Cremorne made up of several lots.
The Vered Trust previously filed an application for an eight-storey office building for 38-42 Cremorne Street but then aquired 34-36 Cremorne Street for $5.2 million in December 2021.
After putting together an application for a tower on 30-32 Cremorne Street, the decision was made to apply for permission for the nine-storey tower on 34-42 Cremorne Street, amalgamating the lots.
The plans, designed by Interlandi Mantesso Architects, have a nettable lease area of 4444.9sq m.
The basement level has parking for 25 bikes, 27 cars via a stacker system and one accessible car space.
The ground floor has a lobby, two tenancy spaces, amenities and storage for 23 bicycles.
Each floor up to the eighth floor has an office and amenities. Level eight has an office, function room, gym and a roof terrace.
The site is close to Gosch’s Paddock, Yarra Park, the Botanic Gardens and the Richmond and East Richmond train stations.
The Swan Street Activity Centre is also nearby as is are tram and bus routes.
Also in the street, Vicland Property Group has lodged plans for a mid-rise commercial development. The stepped, 12-level glass building featuring more than 17,900sq m of office space and 2100sq m of retail space on the lower levels would replace three industrial buildings at 31-53 Cremorne Street.
As well, Cremorne Properties has completed a $150-million office development set to become the Australian headquarters for ASX-listed hiring platform Seek in the suburb, which is being touted as an emerging tech precinct.
