Crown Group’s $1bn Urban Hub ‘Eastlakes’

d1c1ce06-f181-4984-861e-fecd17a0ee2b

Property giant Crown Group has officially launched its major $1 billion “Eastlakes Live” residential precinct.

With apartments constructed above Eastlakes Shopping Centre, six kilometres from Sydney’s CBD, the residential and entertainment quarter will offer a total of 534 residences.

The development is a masterplanned blend of residences, retail, facilities and open spaces set to be constructed over two phases.

The first phase offers 134 luxury apartments on the north side of the precinct, while the south side will offer 400 modern apartments.

Crown Group chief executive Iwan Sunito says the project generated a lot of interest before the official marketing campaign began.

“We’ve built on the strength and diversity of the existing community with a powerful mixed-use design,” Sunito said.

Crown Group partnered with architects Francis-Jones Morehen Thorp to create the retail and residential precinct.

Features include landscaped gardens, rooftop lounge, water features, and a 25-metre infinity pool.

ABS data showed the Eastlakes- Mascot area was the fifth fastest growing region of New South Wales, increasing by 7.9 per cent or 1904 people to a total of 26,099.

“This is the cornerstone of the rejuvenation of Eastlakes Town Centre with more than $1 billion behind it, and one that will drive continued growth for the community as a whole,” the Group said in a release.

The developer’s other projects include a 331 apartment building in Sydney’s Waterloo, named Waterfall, Sydney’s $13 billion Green Square renewal, a 29 level residence in Parramatta called “V” designed by Allen Jack + Cottier architects, Crown Group’s $250 million “Manhattan-style” Clarence Street tower in Sydney’s CBD, and a new Melbourne based development.

Construction of Eastlakes Live’s first stage is scheduled for completion in 2020.
