Dual towers in the works for Newstead

Newstead has been the area identified with an ambitious DA from Cavcorp outlining the plans for a 15 storey and a 25 storey dual residential apartment tower offering 366 residential opportunities.

Artist's impression of the apartments entryThe property development and investment company Cavcorp is planning to transform 20 Festival Place and bring retail prospects to the urban atmosphere of the Gasworks Precinct.

Designed by Orbit Architecture who won building designer of the year in 2007 the development is designed to include many niche services for city dwellers such as a “dog day spa”.

Artist's impression of the rooftop poolThe DA submission reveals that the Newstead proposal has been ideally chosen for location, where development can take advantage of locally optimised transportation options such as the City Glider, Bus Service and Teneriffe Ferry Terminal.

The height of the projected towers considers Newstead River Park Plan of Development’s plan of building height criteria.

The development project is just one of many apartment releases in Newstead central, as we reported earlier in the week, with an announcement this week that Metro Property is also investing into the inner-city area with a 920 apartment plan.
