eVolo Announces 2015 Skyscraper Competition Winners


Architecture and design journal eVolo has announced the winners in its 2015 Skyscraper Competition.

First place was awarded to BOMP (Ewa Odyjas, Agnieszka Morga, Konrad Basan, and Jakub Pudo) from Poland who submitted a design for a project called Essence SkyScraper. It is described as an urban mega structure containing diverse natural habitats.

Second place went to Suraksha Bhatla and Sharan Sundar for their Shanty-Scraper project seeking to provide housing, work and recreational spaces to the inhabitants of Chennai city's slum in India and central to the design is the re-use of much of the city's post-construction debris including pipes, corrugated metal sheets, timber etc.


Cybertopia was awarded third place from Egor Orlov that reimagines the city of the future as the combination of digital and physical world's -- a city that grows and morphs instantly according to our needs.
