Four Ways to Create Best-in-Class Showroom Experiences

The real estate industry is evolving rapidly, and the customer experience is now more important than ever.

At DisplaySweet, we are always looking to push the boundaries of innovation to create more engaging, informative and memorable customer experiences.

Imagine being able to step into your future home before it’s even built or exploring your new neighbourhood from the comfort of a showroom.

This is the kind of groundbreaking experience that AURA by Aqualand has created for their customers, revolutionising the way people buy homes.

(1) Make the intangible feel real

Visualising a future home can be challenging, especially when it’s still under construction. That’s where showroom tech steps in. Using LED walls, immersion rooms, and 3D models, you can provide immersive experiences that help customers explore properties in detail from every angle. This technology makes it easier for customers to picture themselves in their new homes by providing real-level views and detailed visualisations.

AURA by Aqualand did just that.

Understanding that they needed to perfectly capture the incredible views in jaw-dropping definition, they installed an immersion room that displayed eye-catching views from each apartment from wall-to-wall.

These views are controlled and seamlessly integrated through the Display Presenter app, ensuring a smooth and interactive experience for customers.

Ann Duong, Aqualand’s project marketing manager, said, “Working with DisplaySweet has revolutionised our approach to selling off-the-plan apartments … This immersive approach significantly elevated our marketing and boosted customer confidence and market interest”.

(2) Integration with real-world amenities

Presenting real-world amenities within the showroom environment can be challenging, but when done right, it enables customers to fully grasp the property they are considering.

This fosters confidence, builds trust and drives exceptional sales experiences.

For Aqualand, this was especially crucial with their AURA project situated in North Sydney, an area undergoing significant development.

It was important for Aqualand to show not only the city’s growth plan for the area but also the existing transport links and amenities.

Duong said, “One of our key challenges was to ensure we were able to accurately educate and inform customers about the significant growth of North Sydney. Display Masterplan is a key tool to help us tell that story and truly illustrate how we are contributing to the strategic vision of the area”.

Recognising that visualising these elements would be a key part of AURA’s sales campaign success, they opted to add in Display Masterplan—the first of its kind within the apartment sales space.

Using Display Masterplan, Aqualand highlighted local amenities and North Sydney’s growth plan, providing a comprehensive view of the lifestyle and conveniences that come with living in the development.

Supported by the depth of Display Presenter’s functionality, Display Masterplan gives customers a detailed perspective on the development, allowing them to explore the surroundings and amenities in depth.

This tech became an integral part of their presentation strategy, ensuring every aspect of the living experience was showcased effectively.

Duong said, “The integration of DisplaySweet’s advanced technology in our showrooms has also played a crucial role in educating customers about the growth and lifestyle of North Sydney.

“Not only do our home buyers feel confident in the property—they also can envision themselves living in the area and the future lifestyle they can experience”.

(3) Evolution of the showroom environment

Modern showrooms should be dynamic, evolving spaces that adapt to meet customer needs and project developments. As properties sell and projects progress, the sales journey can and should adapt to reflect these changes.

The AURA Showroom by Aqualand exemplifies this evolution through three distinct phases:

  1. Initial showroom: Featuring an immersive room with digital real estate experiences.

  2. Masterplan addition: Showcasing the connectivity and strategic vision of North Sydney.

  3. Blending digital with reality: Transitioning to real apartments while maintaining high-tech displays.

Throughout all phases of their showroom’s development, we worked collaboratively with Aqualand to concept, build and roll out each stage. This end-to-end partnership meant they were able to create a cohesive and impactful customer journey that consistently exceeded expectations.

Alex Adams, head of sales and marketing at Aqualand, highlighted the impact of this partnership: “We’ve always wanted to work with DisplaySweet, and this project really was the opportunity for us to create a new customer journey in luxury marketing.”

(4) The role of advanced technology

Advanced showroom tech, such as interactive models and immersive screens, offers numerous benefits.

These tools boost customer confidence by providing clear, detailed visualisations of properties.

Customers who experience these technologies often express increased confidence and interest in their decisions.

At Aqualand, they used DisplaySweet’s Model Integration to clearly highlight specific property locations and light up floor plans.

Connected TVs displayed detailed layout information, creating a seamless and informative experience for customers.

The immersive screens provided realistic views of properties and their surroundings, all controlled through the Display Presenter app, ensuring a smooth and impactful user experience.

Adams said, “The AURA showroom technology is the best in the country. There is no compromising on quality and the user experience is extraordinary.

“Agents love our new showroom, as it’s simple, useful, and impactful. It truly has exceeded the expectations of both our agents and clients alike.”
