A double-storey penthouse at The Rocks has hit the market for $39.8 million, listed for Sydney-based developer Hannas and the Golden Age Group.
The apartment, described as “the jewel” in The Harrington Collection is designed by Fjmt and has a rooftop terrace with views of Sydney Harbour.
The 483sq m penthouse forms part of an under-construction precinct and is slated for completion in mid-2021.
It is just another multi-million listing on Sydney’s super-prime market, adding to the sale of $95 million Edgewater mansion and Cate Blanchett and Andrew Upton’s $12 million apartment in the historic Astor building this week.
The Harrington Collection is the only residential projects to have gained development approval in The Rocks over the last eight years.
It forms a larger development project including al fresco dining as well as more than 1,000sq m of commercial office space, eight retail and high-end hospitality spaces.
The 4-bedroom, 4.5 bathroom penthouse features a fireplace, stone island bench, butlers pantry and spiral staircase or private lift to the upper floor with a movie room, wet bar, spa and 140sq m outdoor terrace.
Laver Residential listed the property and project director Dennis Vertzayias said it is a world-class development and will be considered one of Sydney’s most iconic and desirable addresses for decades to come.
“Housed within such an iconic location in the heart of Sydney, the architectural design and quality of the finish represents a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that we suspect will be popular with both local and offshore purchasers who are looking for their very own slice of The Rocks,” Vertzayias said.
It is one of five Sydney developments Golden Age Group has either delivered or is currently working on, and the first project in collaboration with Hannas group.
The Golden Age group recently received approval on a 27-storey building on Little Collins Street, Melbourne and also completed a 58-level slim tower nearby, called Collins House in a joint-venture with Deague Group.
