'High rise Harry' to join us for CityShapers #2

The team at the

Australian Institute of Building (AIB), Queensland University of Technology (QUT) and TheUrbanDeveloper.com are delighted to announce that

Harry Triguboff AO, Chairman and Managing Director of Meriton Apartments

will join us as guest speaker at QUT's Gardens Point Campus on Thursday August 9, 2012.

For nearly 50 years, Meriton has built over 50,000 apartments across Sydney, Gold Coast and Brisbane. During this time, Meriton has grown from a small family construction business into Australia's largest residential property developer.

Triguboff was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia in 1990 "for service to building and construction and for philanthropy" and an Officer of the Order in 1999 "for service to the community as a philanthropist, and to the residential construction industry."

He was the first person to win Australia's Property Person of the Year award twice; in 2003 and then again in 2009.

The FREE event will be open for registration on Monday July 9, 2012.
