Deicorp Tapped for Stage 2 of Hills Showground Station Precinct

Deicorp has been appointed by Sydney Metro and Landcom to develop the next part of its Hills Showground Station project, rhe builder-developer’s third for the NSW government agencies.

Precinct East is the largest lot of the project and will accommodate up to 873 homes as well as 3200sqm of public open space, including a new park.

Under the plans, the 2.8ha site would have five buildings up to 16 storeys and a park on the site between Showground Road and Andalusian Way in Castle Hill.

The Hills Showground Station Precinct received concept approval in January, 2021 for three lots with 1620 homes, 13,490sq m of commercial and retail space, new public open spaces and supporting infrastructure.

Deicorp founder and chairman Fouad Deiri said he was delighted they had secured their third Landcom and Sydney Metro project.

“As Sydney’s leading builder of transport-connected developments, we are delighted that Landcom and Sydney Metro have once again chosen the Deicorp team to deliver this vital new housing supply in the Hills,” Deiri said.

“The Precinct East project will allow Deicorp to deliver beautifully designed, affordable and sustainable housing on the doorstep of the Metro Northwest Line.”

Deicorp is working on the first stage of the precinct, Hills Showground Village, and the Tallawong Village site on the Metro Northwest line.

The first lot, now under construction, includes a three-level, 10,935sq m retail podium beneath four 20-level residential towers, as well as a public plaza linking the metro station.

And construction is also well under way on the 987-unit mixed-use project opposite Tallawong Station.
