With only a handful of apartments remaining for sale and construction progressing to schedule, national property and construction company Hindmarsh has officially kicked off the leasing campaign for retailers at Wharf Square in Gladesville.
The initial response has been extremely strong but with only five tenancies available, interested retailers have no time to waste, according to Hindmarsh NSW / QLD State Manager of Development Steve Laffey.
“Wharf Square’s prime position on Wharf Road near Victoria Road, and the 30-40,000 vehicles that pass by on average every day, ensures tenants for the brand new retail space will instantly benefit from maximum exposure,” Mr Laffey said.
“The integration of the jointly delivered 800sqm public plaza fronting the development, as well as the influx of new residents at Wharf Square and elsewhere in the vicinity, reinforces the opportunities for tenants in this sought after retail space.
“Wharf Square will become a destination in its own right and retailers now have the chance to make their mark from day one,” he said.
The 780sqm ground floor retail space will especially suit fresh food and beverage enterprises, which will be able to take advantage of the outdoor seating in the new public plaza fronting Wharf Square and tap into the broader revitalisation underway in the precinct.
Developed and constructed by Hindmarsh, Wharf Square is expected to comprise a range of 85 one, two and three bedroom apartments across seven storeys, with ground floor retail space integrated with a new public plaza set to breathe new life into one of Sydney’s best-connected suburban jewels.
The plaza is being delivered jointly by Hindmarsh and a neighbouring developer to activate the new retail space and provide doorstep access to a range of dining options for residents. Construction of Wharf Square is progressing to schedule and completion is anticipated in early 2017.
