Hub Australia Secures Hyde Park Site To Deliver New Sydney Coworking Opportunity

Hub Australia has secured a significant 4,200 square metre site located at 223 Liverpool Street, on the east side of Hyde Park.

The new site, Hub Hyde Park, was chosen for its close proximity to Sydney’s CBD and size and will have a strong focus on catering for growing businesses with a variety of private, dedicated and flexible workspaces.

Hub Australia will also provide customisable spaces for larger teams of up to 100 people, offering larger companies and organisations flexible workplace solutions while also leveraging the benefits of being in a coworking space such as connection to a broader and diverse business network.

Hub Australia will occupy four out of five floors in the building, with the interior fitout being led by design practice HASSELL.

Hub Australia CEO and Founder Brad Krauskopf said the new site was a needed addition to the Sydney office market.

“There’s strong demand for coworking space in Sydney and Hub Australia’s coworking spaces cultivate an engaged community in which people can grow their businesses – a particularly unique offer in an increasingly popular coworking market," he said.

"Coworking has evolved from its freelance and start up roots, and we are now focused on delivering a professional and inspiring place to work whilst at the same time fostering the social and business community which both small and large organisations have grown to love about coworking.

"We’ve taken years of knowledge gained in the Australian coworking market, and members at the new Hub Hyde Park will benefit from a flexible environment, innovative amenity and most importantly, a central and inspiring location."

Expected to open early 2018, the site will feature state-of-the-art design and facilities including an event space, parents room, gym, end-of-trip with towel service, relaxation space and parking.

Hub Australia members and their guests will benefit from the Hyde Park gardens on their doorstep and will also have access to the private roof terrace and a licensed cafe with views over the park, CBD and the bay beyond.

“Over the past ten years, the amount of coworking space across Sydney has grown from 1,400 square metres to 44,182 square metres in October 2016," Knight Frank Head of Occupier Solutions John Preece said.

Mr Preece was responsible for brokering the lease.

"This represents a significant growth rate of 41 per cent per annum.

“We have been tracking the coworking sector closely and in recent years we’ve seen a definitive trend towards more coworking facilities being opened within the CBD of a larger scale and higher quality.

"Hub Australia’s new 223 Liverpool Street site is consistent with this trend and will be a welcome home grown addition to Sydney’s buoyant coworking landscape," he said.

The site, in addition to Hub Australia’s existing Hub William street location, will bring their Sydney footprint to over 5,000 square metres and over 10,000 square metres nationally.
