Canny Projects Commences Construction On $80M Port Melbourne Project

Canny Projects has commenced construction on the $80m Stamoulis Property Group development in Port Melbourne.

The project, which will consist of 287 premium quality townhouses on the old soap manufacturer, Symex, site, is scheduled for completion in late 2017.

Canny was awarded the contract for the design and construction of triple storey three bedroom luxury townhouses, built in and around heritage-listed buildings on Woodruff and Ingles Streets, opposite the Port Melbourne Cricket Ground.

The first stage will consist of 13 townhouses on the corner of Ingles Street and Munro Street which is scheduled to be completed early 2016.

“We have been looking forward to commencing construction on the site since we set up our dedicated site office in May 2015,” said Canny Projects Project Director Sam Failla. “We have hit the ground running and looking forward to the challenge of completing the project and seeing its progression through its many stages.”

All but a small number of homes in the project’s final release have been sold in what was an exceptional response to the project when it was released in 2014.

Canny completed Walker Corporation’s development Main Drive, Kew consisting of 69 luxury townhouses (project value $68 million) in 2014.
