Kurilpa Precinct Sees $36m Project Commence Construction

F

Construction has begun on the $36 million

Fleet Lane boutique apartment project, located within Brisbane’s new creative Kurilpa precinct.

According to the

Courier Mail, 90 percent of the apartments are already under contract representing strong buyer interest for the 10-storey project.

The project is being managed by Marquee Projects for

HCAP Development, a Sydney-based funds Manager with a development pipeline exceeding $250 million.

Marquee Projects CEO Mark Spedding

said Fleet Lane takes a front-row seat in the local market by providing secure views of the Brisbane River and CBD.

“Local buyers have identified that many of the other apartment projects in South Brisbane will have their views built out,” Mr Speddling said.

HCAP director Steve Howell

said Fleet Lane offered buyers a chance to live and invest in an upcoming hotspot at an affordable price.

“With the New Kurilpa Riverfront Renewal Master Plan – which includes the one hectare park on the doorstep of Fleet Lane and the investment in the South Bank cultural and arts precinct – local buyers have been attracted early to Fleet Lane’s location,” Mr Howell said.

The project is situated within the South Brisbane arts and cultural precinct and a short walk form Queen Street Mall and the proposed Brisbane Casino and Integrated Resort Precinct.

Fleet Lane will comprise 66 one, two and three-bedroom apartments and features more than 300 square metres of roof terrace.

Facilities will include lounges, dining spaces and barbeques, a yoga garden and spa.

Prices for the remaining two-bedroom apartments start at $544,000.

The building is due for completion in January, 2016.
