Leighton release Ashmore Terraces, third stage of $230m Erko

Leighton Properties and

LaSalle Investment Management have released the third stage of the $230 million Erko residential development.

The joint venture will release 16 three-storey Torrens Title terrace homes known as Ashmore Terraces.

Ashmore Terraces is located in Erskineville, 5km from Sydney’s CBD on the northern boundary of the 1.6 hectare development.

The 185 square metre, three bedroom homes have been designed by award-winning architectural firms -

Prineas and

TRIBE Studios.

“We engaged SJB, Prineas and TRIBE Studio to take the finest features of a Victorian terrace, modernised them, and then integrate principles of thoughtful, sustainable design,” said Managing Director of Leighton Properties, Mark Gray.

Priced from $1.575m, Ashmore Terraces aim to provide luxury living with marble ensuites with freestanding baths; stone bench tops and open plan living.

Tim Rees from selling agent CBRE

describes it as “a modern take on a much-loved architectural style.”

The terrace homes aim to capitalise on the site’s northerly aspect with natural cross-flow ventilation, reducing the need for artificial heating and cooling, and saving on energy costs.

The first stage of Erko was released in November 2012 with the second released in early 2013.

After completion of the fourth and final stage, Erko will comprise 303 apartments and 16 terrace houses.

Erko is on track for completion by late 2014 / early 2015.
