Everyone loves a nice hotel, but here's proof that there's something for everyone when it comes to providing quirky hotels for any desire.
Many of them are deliberately appealing to a niche audience and are designed to provide an immersive experience. As adults, our childhood desires and interests are being catered to like never before, and proving a hit in the process.

Some of them may appear to be the whim of someone with a lot of money, but many are very serious in providing a different offering and pushing the boundaries of an accommodation experience.
Oh, and they're amazing to look at, too.
Here we provide a round-up of some of the best:
W Hotel, Hoboken, New Jersey, U.S.A.
Upgrades and design changes are inspired by Frank Sinatra and baseball to give a feel for the prime of Ol' Blue Eyes and New York baseball teams.
Wine-Themed Hotels
Washington State's The Lodge at Columbia Point is a planned boutique hotel that unashamedly will be the calling of wine lovers. Hotels and wine? Seems a pretty perfect match to us. Each room at The Lodge will be named after a winery. Guest chefs and sommeliers will hold events at the property due to open in 2016.
Gothic Nightclub Accommodations
Les Bains Paris is a newly opened luxury Parisian hotel in a building formerly occupied as a popular nightclub frequented by the likes of David Bowie, Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss. Gothic in style this building was originally a private thermal bathhouse owned by a prestigious French family.
We Couldn't Forget Disney
The wonderful world of Disney has inspired many themed hotels. The Tokyo Disneyland Hotel boasts character themed suites which are designed to inspire the child in anyone.
Legoland Hotel, Winter Haven, Florida, U.S.A.
Opening Friday 15th May, 2015, no list of themed hotels would be complete without a mention of Florida or Lego. The dragon guarding the entrance is made out of half a million Lego bricks and puffs smoke from its nostrils. Every room has one of four themes: pirate, adventure, kingdom, or Lego Friends. And of course there's plenty of Lego bricks galore for you to build with. This is definitely one on our list to visit.
Technology-themed CitizenM Hotel, New York, U.S.A.
New York's Times Square recently saw the opening of CitizenM Hotel which is squarely aimed at travellers with a passion for technology. Featuring a do-it-yourself check-in, its 230 rooms are equipped with "enough gadgets and functionality to satisfy even the most demanding geek."
JW Marriott, Chicago, U.S.A. -- Beer Travel Package
Okay, we might be biased here, too, but a hotel with a partnership with a brewing company is definitely worth checking out. The appropriately named 'Beercation Package' treats guests to a variety of Lagunitas craft brews in their suite, transport to and from the brewery and taproom, and tour and tastings.
The Tiny Grand Budapest Hotel, A Tree in Lithuania
This one is certainly the definition of quirky. A hotel for birds, this pink birdhouse provides three rooms of boutique accommodation and is a replica of the original Grand Budapest Hotel featured in the hit movie. Apparently it also comes with its own version of the movie poster for promotional purposes.
Located in the heart of Rome, this 10-suite designer hotel is situated in a sixteenth century palazzo-style building that features Italian design pieces by famous Italian designers. Intricate design details ensure you get the best of an Italy experience, with each suite having a different design.
Formerly a ramshackle clothing workshop, the Hotel Edgar has been transformed into a charming 13-room hotel with each room having a different theme courtesy of a range of different artists, designers and creatives who have lent their style to the rooms. One room has a playful action figure chandelier whilst another is styled to look like a treehouse. The hotel has a great central location overlooking a tree-lined square.
Batman Hotel Room, Eden Motel, Taiwan
Shaped like the Batcave, this hotel room has stony walls, yellow and black colours, bat furniture and plenty of bat paraphernalia to boot. The hotel has other movie-themed rooms but it's this tribute to the caped crusader that has grabbed most of the attention. Holy Catastrophe!
Basing Street Rooms, London, England
This four-storey Victorian residence has been transformed into a long-term hotel space for a record label. Multi-coloured herringbone patterns feature on top of the parquet flooring. To fit in with the client, music memorabilia has been installed from Island records, Stiff Records, ZTT and Sarm. The colour theme for each apartment reflects record sleeve designs from a nearby recording studio.
This luxurious boutique hotel in Indonesia has a wide range of 11 vacation homes each crafted by its designers with sustainable materials and with antique architecture in mind. Many of the homes have glass-bottomed flooring which sit on ponds filled with fish. Not for those who might become sea-sick.
