Plans for a $22.6-million luxury apartment project in Sydney’s north-west have been unveiled.
Developer Mecone is behing the plans for the site at 4-4A Beaconsfield Parade: a seven-storey block comprising 38 apartments—two of two bedrooms, 32 three and four four-bedroom apartments.
The building wuld also include three basement levels with 79 car spaces and 12 bicycle spaces.
One three-bedroom apartment would be dedicated as affordable housing in perpetuity, to be managed by a registered community housing provider.
Mecone associate director Gannon Cuneo is listed as the applicant, and Mecone’s Amanda Harvey and Tyson Ek-Moller are named as project director and planner respectively.
The owner of the site is listed as Beaconsfield Pde Pty Ltd, of which Effat Aziz Farag is director. Oneline development record service BCI lists the project developers as Rudder Group.
The project, designed by Giles Tribe Architects, aims to “bring a touch of sophistication to the Ku-ring-gai Local Government Area”, according to the developer
Giles Tribe and Mecone have previously partnered on a $32-million mixed-use project on the Upper North Shore.
The developer outlined a a commitment to green living in the plans, saying Studio IZ’s landscaping plan promised “a lush, green future for residents”.
Other green credentials include sustainability features such as water-sensitive urban design principles, stormwater management systems, and energy-efficient building practices are integral to the plan.
The 2469sq m site, 12km north-west of Sydney’s CBD and 2.6km from the Chatswood shopping district, is near the Lindfield railway station as well as Third.i’s $180-million Balfour Place development.
The developer says the development will contribute to providing much-needed additional housing, supporting the growing and changing demographics of the community.
