Award winning Melbourne developer
Piccolo's latest boutique project
Upper House is quite possibly the most innovative and unique residential building to grace Melbourne’s sought-after Carlton
.
The mother and son team - Michael and Mima Piccolo - and architect Tim Jackson from
Jackson, Clements, Burrows (JCB) launched Upper House last month, and it appears as though the project is destined for great success with over 50% sold to a combination of owner-occupiers and astute investors,
Set in the heart of Carlton, Upper House is an architectural masterpiece spawned by award-winning architects, and is made up of two distinct apartment buildings named The Podium and The Cloud.
One would usually assume that the two separate buildings would stand side by side. Instead, The Cloud building is situated on top of The Podium building, of which is a truly unique attribute to the building’s facade.
The Podium building spans levels 1-10, with The Cloud building occupying all other levels.
Design elements of each apartment in The Cloud building include floor to ceiling glass windows, so as to maximise views of the city and Port Phillip Bay, and to create a sense of openness.
The Podium also boasts an outdoor deck and garden, allowing residents to soak up views of the Melbourne city skyline with other occupants.
The residential building will house 110 boutique apartments across 17 levels, with prices starting at $380,000.
