Meriton’s Infinity tower in Brisbane has taken out the coveted International Property Award for ‘Best Residential High-Rise Development’ (Australia).
The landmark 81-storey building, the tallest in the Queensland capital, was awarded the highest national accolade available, the ‘5 Star’, at the official awards ceremony in Kuala Lumpur.
Co-designed by DBI Architects, the residential tower won over the panel of more than 70 judges from across the world with its cutting-edge design, consisting of an elegant glass tower with contrasting facades, crisp white vertical blades on one side and smooth horizontal spandrels on the other to create an arresting visage.
Located in the heart of Brisbane, with views of the Brisbane River, Mount Cootha and Moreton Bay, Infinity offers luxury facilities including a lap pool, spa, sauna, gymnasium and accommodation for short-stay guests through more than 200 serviced apartments.
The design blends subtle colours and finishes to create an iconic tower which has transformed the face of the Brisbane city skyline. As a regional winner, Infinity is now in the running to take out the international award at the end of 2014.
The International Property Awards are open to residential and commercial property professionals from around the globe. Since 1995, they have celebrated the highest levels of achievement by companies operating in all sectors of the property and real estate industry.
The awards are split into regions covering Africa, Asia Pacific, Arabia, Canada, Caribbean, Central and South America, Europe, UK and USA.
