Plans have been filed with the City of Yarra for a boutique residential project in the developer’s home turf in Melbourne’s inner north-east.
Neometro has filed the plans for the 907sq m site at 450 Gore Street, Fitzroy, with the City of Yarra.
Proposed is a five-storey block comprising 23 apartments with a mix of one, two and three bedrooms.
It would include several sustainability measures aimed to achieve a 7.5 NatHERS rating, including 100 per cent green energy.
Edition Office is the architect for the project.
The site, 1.5km from the CBD, currently has a single-storey warehouse with 780sq m of space. The developer acquired the site last July.
Pending project approval, Neometro plans to launch sales early next year.
Fitzroy was recently named Melbourne’s most liveable suburb.
“There is a lot of strong demand for this area,” Neometro director Lochlan Sinclair said.
“Three of the directors are long-time residents and our office is located in Fitzroy.
“It’s one of the areas that we focus on and we love it—it’s one of the best locations with great amenity.”
Developer GQ has recently proposed build-to-rent projects in the suburb.
Neometro also has projects in South Yarra and St Kilda East with another project at Brunswick nearly fully sold.
