Wolter Consulting Group, a prominent name in development consulting, surveying and urban planning in South-East Queensland, proudly announced its rebrand to Therefor Group today, a significant move for the 32-year-old business.
The announcement marks a new chapter in the company’s journey, reflecting its commitment to a “change leadership” agenda. It also coincides with its relocation to a larger head office at Newstead in Brisbane.
Synonymous with development and property in Brisbane, Wolter Consulting Group was founded by Michael Wolter in 1993.
After Michael’s retirement in 2022, a new leadership team featuring board of directors’ co-chairs Natalie Rayment and Andrew Crawford, board members Brad Jones and Bruce Williams, and chief executive Dan Best was appointed.
The board decided now was the right time to rebrand the company to align with its updated vision, purpose, and values, and to accurately reflect its culture of “leading change” and commitment to the community.
Co-chair Rayment said, “The rebranding to Therefor Group is about more than just a new name; it represents our continued evolution as a business and our commitment to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in the development and property industry”.
The name Therefor Group was chosen to reflect two key concepts: the understanding of why, how, what, and who a site is “there for”, ensuring its purpose is realised and its potential unlocked, and the broader mission of being there for clients, the community, the industry, the environment, and leading change.
Co-chair Crawford said, “Our new identity as Therefor Group reflects our progression as a business, as well as our core values and forward-thinking ethos.
“The move to our new office is symbolic of our growth and aspirations, and its design is reflective of our genuine commitment to collaboration and to supporting our people.
“We are eager to bring this new energy to our clients and projects.”
Therefor Group will continue to offer a robust suite of services across numerous distinct disciplines, leveraging the collective expertise of its professionals to deliver comprehensive and sustainable solutions to its clients, the industry and the wider community.
The team’s diverse expertise in project delivery, strategy, planning, surveying, landscape architecture and urban design, advocacy, environmental management and sustainability, and advisory services, drives the unified purpose of “Leading positive, impactful, and lasting change”, which was the inspiration for Therefor Group’s new tagline “The change leaders”.
It’s a big promise but one chief executive Dan Best is confident his team can deliver on.
“Our community of professionals is not afraid of change; they embrace it, asking thought-provoking questions, engaging in difficult discussions and inspiring their peers and clients to think differently,” Best said.
At the heart of all Therefor Group does is its commitment to community.
“To our people, community is more than just a collection of places and spaces.
“It’s where people meet their needs, explore interests, interact with each other and the environment, connect uniquely, share experiences, and feel a strong sense of belonging,” Best said.
With its rebranding and office move, Therefor Group is poised to continue to lead the way in shaping the future of development, property and planning in South-East Queensland, making strides in sustainable and innovative practices.
