Melbourne developer Larry Kestelman has pulled out all stops to encourage sales in his ambitious Capitol Grand Tower in South Yarra.

The $800 million tower will be on the corner of Chapel Street and Toorak Road on the old Capitol Bakery site.

Hollywood actress Charlize Theron has been hired as an ambassador for the development and her image is being used widely in the development’s promotion here and overseas. It’s reported that her fee to promote Capitol Grand is $3 million including appearances at Melbourne’s Formula 1 Grand Prix.

The marketing agreement with Theron includes her image, name, voice, footage and signature being used in the marketing and advertising campaign for the apartment development.

Kestelman, the founder of internet company Dodo, and majority owner of the National Basketball League, heads his development company LK Property Group.

Another inducement for buyers is the offering of up to two million Qantas frequent flyer points to off-the-plan purchasers.
