Project Focus: The Miller Sprinkles Manhattan Magic Over North Sydney

Taking a leaf out of Manhattan's uber chic apartment offerings, The Miller stands in the leafy and central location of North Sydney, where downsizing has become increasingly popular with residents seeking high-end yet low maintenance living options.

The Miller will include a New York-style exclusive 'concierge' service for residents, with the development backed by an award-winning international team.

Located at 201 Miller Street, the development was launched by YUHU Group on March 19 and is an exclusive $200 million plus 21-storey residential tower comprising 183 apartments and 100 separate serviced apartments.

YUHU were granted China's premier award for building excellence and known for premium villas and high rise apartments.

YUHU owns and manages Sydney's Eastwood and Glenwood shopping centres and holds a strong focus on property development, hydroelectric power investment, wholesale agriculture, construction materials, strata management, trade and logistics.

Group Chairman Xiangmo Huang said the the project would set a new standard in North Sydney living.

“Residents of The Miller will feel like they are living in a luxury hotel. With an optional concierge service, gym and restaurants and even room service just to name a few features, with Sydney CBD and North Sydney Business districts right on your doorstep, and easy access to bus, rail or the new Sydney Metro line,” he said.

All stage one contracts have so far exchanged hands, with sold prices for the four top-floor penthouses starting at $3million and all going to local buyers. A 72 sqm two bedroom north-east facing apartment sold for $1.5million, also to a local buyer. Stone benchtops, timer flooring and Bosch appliances are some of the high-end features on offer in the apartments.

Ray White Projects Director Eddie Mansour said this was a strong sign for the Sydney market.

“Although there is a lot of speculation that the market is slowing, the quick sell out of our first release shows that there is still significant strength in the Sydney market, and high demand for quality apartments within the city,” he said.

“Interest in The Miller has been from a combination of both offshore and local buyers, with the first release of marketing material generating notable interest.”

“With a unique standard of living, The Miller has been designed to accommodate residents seeking a lifestyle of convenience and leisure with a unique Manhattan style living experience in North Sydney

. The specialised concierge service, which includes on-site gym, restaurant,  laundry and room service - has been a key feature for our buyers.”

PTW Architects is the firm behind the bulk of the Harbour waterfront development opportunities in Sydney most recently joining with Rogers Stirk Harbour on Barangaroo.

The Miller marks the first residential development for YUHU Group with expected completion in 2018.
