Property Industry Unites to Raise Funds for Bushfire Recovery

db0eb1fb-d2e7-4e91-af19-2db737028f74

On 5 February, a number of Victoria’s leading property and construction groups will come together to support the Victorian bushfire recovery efforts.

Aiming to raise $200,000 for Zoos Victoria and the Victorian Bushfire Appeal, the #PropertyUnites fundraising luncheon will bring together 250 of the industry’s most influential figures for a luncheon hosted by media personality Hamish Mclachlan at Half Acre in South Melbourne.

Ticket sales at the event will be complemented by a charity auction for items including a luxury stay at Rae’s on Wategos in Byron Bay, MCG corporate box packages, and dining packages at Victoria’s top hatted restaurants and wineries.

Representatives from Riverlee, Glenvill, Tomorrow Agency, Neue Media, Metric, Lechte Corporation, Beulah International and Salta Property Group have formed the organising committee behind the event, and are calling on support from The Urban Developer community to participate.

Tables of six, eight or 10 can be purchased via the website.

And the event committee is seeking auction and raffle prizes as well as charitable financial donations.

Neue Media director Cara Cunningham said the group congregated following the vast media coverage of the bushfire devastation.

“We all felt compelled to do whatever we could to assist communities and wildlife in immediate need, and recognised that by pooling our collective expertise, we could create the industry’s largest fundraising campaign to date,” she said.

“We have been inspired by the many developers and builders pledging their resources and support in the rebuilding of communities, but understanding that the planning, design and construction of housing, infrastructure and community facilities can take years, so we wanted the #PropertyUnites event to have an immediate benefit.”

“By partnering with Zoos Victoria and the Victorian Bushfire Appeal, we know our efforts will have a significant impact on those most affected by the current devastation.”

Donations to the auction and raffle prizes can be made by emailing: anthony@tomorrowagency.com.au

The Urban Developer is proud to support the #PropertyUnites fundraising initiative.
