ASX-listed employment company Seek has announced it will be relocating its head office in 2020 to purpose-built premises at 60 Cremorne Street, Cremorne.

The building, yet to be constructed, will be designed by Hassell and will comprise 19,300 square metres of office space on floor plates of approximately 3,500 square metres, with the provision of additional space for food and beverage and retail use.

Seek partnered with Cremorne Properties to build the workplace in Cremorne's tech hub. Hassell will design the project to support the growth of the company and provide the technology, workspaces and environment required to drive collaboration and flexibility.

Seek CEO and Co-Founder Andrew Bassat said the brand-new building will bring the company's people together, help them do their best work well into the future and "supporting our purpose and culture in a space that is truly 'us'”.

Hassell will reportedly keep with the traditional brick warehouse facades distinct to the Cremorne area and incorporate a rooftop garden, separate innovation hub, indoor and outdoor flexible working spaces and dynamic internal atrium to create a world-class experience for employees.

Seek has grown significantly over the past five years as it reinvests for growth, with 900 employees and 800 located in the current Melbourne head office.

The company will remain at its current head office at 541 St Kilda Road, which it has been operating out of for the past decade, until the building is complete.
