Ritz-Carlton Set to Hit Perth in 2019

The-Ritz-Carlton-Perth-Render-3_620x380

The construction of Perth's The Ritz-Carlton is on track with the development expected to open in mid 2019, signalling a re-entry of the luxury hotel operator into Australia.

Owned by multinational developer, Far East Consortium, The Ritz-Carlton in Perth will be a prominent anchor point within Perth’s Elizabeth Quay development. Sitting just 30 metres from the waterfront, the 205-room hotel will occupy a 28-storey tower, which will also include a selection of impressive residential apartments.

The Ritz-Carlton, Perth, together with The Towers at Elizabeth Quay, an upscale residential development located beside the hotel, will sit atop exclusive retail space, fine-dining experiences, and waterfront access.

The projects i $500 million and being built by national construction company Probuild, who was expected to create 1,200 jobs in Perth.

Marriott International senior director of development Richard Crawford said he saw Perth becoming a prime location for luxury hotels over the next ten years.

“When the hotel opens, it will set a new benchmark for luxury accommodations in Perth and across Australia, at a time when the city’s proximity to many destinations in Asia sees it fast becoming an important business-hub and gateway leisure destination.

A gateway to Perth’s Central Business District, Elizabeth Quay is the centre-piece of Perth’s drive to solidify its position as an international and contemporary destination for the global, affluent traveller, featuring a vibrant mix of commercial, residential, retail and entertainment offerings.

More than 6.6 million people have visited the quay since it opened in December 2016, and it is estimated to boost tourism expenditure in Western Australia by a total of AUD$348 million by 2025-26.

Standard rooms will be 50 square metres on average in size, while the suites will range from 103 to 277 square metres.

The Ritz-Carlton, Perth will also offer guests amenities including four distinctive restaurants and bars. The hotel is also positioned to accommodate conference and meeting space demand in the city with 2,000 square metres of conference space, including a 572 square metre ballroom fitted with the latest AV technology.

Other facilities at the hotel include a Fitness Centre, which offers a gym, spa, and outdoor infinity swimming pool, while an open-roof courtyard with tropical, landscaped gardens creates a resort feel in a bustling city.”
