New Development in Roseville Using Technology to Stand Out From the Crowd

After expanding into non-residential assets last year, Chinese developer Chiwayland (CWG) has entered into a joint venture with Longton Capital to develop a new medium-density project, “The Uptown” in the North Shore suburb of Roseville.

The Uptown was designed amongst gardens and tree-lined streets to provide a "proverbial oasis", only five minutes from the bustling centre of nearby Chatswood, where high-rise residential towers exist side-by-side with neighbourhood restaurants, pubs and high-end shopping.

The development adopted technology-smart features which the developers hope will help The Uptown stand out from the crowd.

The building's features include "iCommunity technology", which delivers interactive, electronic noticeboards for residents in the lobbies of each building, plus an iButler service, which integrates service providers via an app and website, allowing users to order goods and services from the convenience of their homes.

Each apartment will be equipped with a Samsung digital fingerprint door lock and a video intercom.

The Uptown's green spaces were designed by 360 Degrees Landscape Architects who included private gardens, BBQ areas and communal spaces where residents can socialise and relax.

Apartment layouts within the development include one and two-bedroom configurations.

360 Landscape Architects' Daniel Baffsky believes residents at The Uptown will relish the opportunity to experience the development’s landscaped gardens and park.

“A fantastic point of difference is the landscape at The Uptown – it will provide a genuinely communal open space, with fantastic amenities and incredible district views,” Baffsky said.

At present, construction of The Uptown’s 220 apartments is 90% complete and only 14 apartments remain for sale, with the development expected to open to residents in November this year.
