Monash Council has approved a $26 million high-rise development in Melbourne’s south-east suburb of Mulgrave.
The 15-storey tower will become Mulgrave’s tallest building, and will form part of Salta Properties’ Nexus Corporate Park, a mixed-use business precinct.
Located next to Monash freeway, 12 Nexus Court will feature Mulgrave’s first hotel comprising 139 rooms. It will also comprise office space of 1,821 square metres, recreation facilities and eight levels of car parking within the building for a total of 387 spaces.
It’s expected Tribe Hotel Group will be the operator of the hotel following the launch of their first hotel in Australia last year in Perth.

Monash Mayor Paul Klisaris says Monash is the largest employment area outside of Melbourne’s CBD and welcomes the development.
“More quality office space, short-term business accommodation and amenities to serve the growing business population will strengthen the role of the Monash National Employment and Innovation Cluster as a key destination for businesses looking to grow in a quality and highly innovative environment,” he said.
Salta Properties has plans for a waterfront development designed by Fender Katsalidis at 699 La Trobe Street in Docklands, where 260 premium apartments will sit above a five-star hotel.
