Catholic women's order The Sisters of Mercy is selling its large Brisbane property holding, the Australian Financial Review reported.
The newspaper said that Architecture firm Cox Rayner had been charged with estimating how many apartments the site could offer a developer.
The site occupies an elevated position, providing views of the city centre.
It said developers Sunland and Mirvac have expressed interest in the three hectare site which is located nine kilometres from the city centre at Bridge Street, Wooloowin.
CBRE's Mike Walsh and Peter Court have been appointed to sell the property. This will be done through a private invitation to tender.
