Is This Skylight The Future Of Indoor Lighting?

Imagine being in a cold Melbourne winter and walking into the downstairs man cave of a friend to watch the big game only to be met by an illuminated scene that would best be described as a Mediterranean outdoor piazza complete with 45° angled ‘sunlight’ offering a welcome respite from the lifeless grey skies outside?Well, this is now possible thanks to Italian company CoeLux who have developed LED-based indoor lighting technology to trick the brain and ‘recreate’ outdoor lighting that is so lifelike you will feel that you are standing in the sun – without the harsh UV rays!

The skylights are perfect for all sorts of indoor settings and are so lifelike that not only is the colour temperature the same but the quality of the light also feels the same.

CoeLux has developed three varieties of the skylights reflecting different angled light: CoeLux 60 for those who prefer the more dramatic slice of bright tropical light; CoeLux 45 for lovers of medium and balanced Mediterranean light; and CoeLux 30 for ‘enthusiasts of Nordic countries … a wall window capable of producing warm, grazing light.’
