Sunshine Coast Developer Launches Hinterland Retreat

4e573016-f880-466c-b1af-aedef727774c

A Queensland development, located in the hills of the Sunshine Coast hinterland, aims to pave the way for an alternative style of living—allowing individuals and corporate groups a space to unwind.

Nestled among 121 hectares of pristine rainforest, The Ridge at Maleny is comprised of 14 strata-titled, Scandinavian-inspired mountain cabins, offering two and three bedrooms.

The residential project has become a haven for business leaders looking to undertake corporate retreats away from bustling urban centres and everyday distractions.

The fully-managed boutique development is located approximately eight minutes from the heart of the Maleny township, 30 minutes to Sunshine Coast beaches and just over an hour’s drive from Brisbane.

Nestled among 121 hectares of pristine rainforest, The Ridge at Maleny is comprised of 14 strata-titled, Scandinavian-inspired mountain cabins, offering two and three bedrooms.

“Three years ago the developers of The Ridge at Maleny had a vision to create a sanctuary in the mountains,” The Ridge at Maleny director Magnus Olson said.

“An exclusive opportunity for 14 privileged investors who wanted that feeling of owning a mountain acreage property.

“Three years on, the owners now spend weekends in their very own luxurious mountain retreat, while also reaping the benefits of renting their cabins and receiving a healthy return on their investment.”

The cabins have proven an idyllic setting for both summer and winter months with ample cool fresh air as well as being equipped with their own fireplace.

All cabins are luxuriously appointed with a mix of timber and stone finishes, in earthy tones that complement the natural beauty of the surrounding views.

The fully-managed boutique development is located approximately eight minutes from the heart of the Maleny township, 30 minutes to Sunshine Coast beaches and just over an hour’s drive from Brisbane.

Team building above the hustle and bustle

The development's latest addition, a new function centre, has now created an environment for serene corporate retreats.

To date, a number of exclusive groups have undertaken workshops, team-building retreats and corporate strategy sessions.

“The Ridge at Maleny is the perfect space to bring your team together for your next corporate event or meeting,” Olson said.

“The function centre can be transformed to individual requirements, with the added bonus of a more structured, indoor meeting session, to moving your team outside to the spacious veranda for a more informal setting, while engaging with nature and the stunning views over the valley.

With cabin accommodation on-site for up to 40 guests, the function centre can also host up to 100 guests for a conference style or cocktail event.

“All events are fully catered with menu options sourcing local, and fresh seasonal produce from the hinterland, including a number of off-site dining experiences at renowned local establishments, with private bus transfers included.”

On-site “team bonding” activities include BBQ bonfire under the stars, yoga and wellness sessions, as well as hiking through the private and secluded location surrounded by tranquil landscape and winding hinterland roads.

“Your team will fully immerse themselves into this experience and leave with renewed energy and enthusiasm.”
