has unveiled its latest $200 million residential development, Union Balmain, in the Sydney suburb of Rozelle.
Anka has joined forces with Turner Architects and interior designers SJB to deliver NSW’s first 5-Star Green Star residential apartment development.
Located at 120 Terry Street, the 202 residences will comprise one, two and three-bedroom apartments.
The three-building, six-storey complex will feature a ground-level park, residents-only rooftop lawn with a communal vegetable garden and BBQ areas. The ground level will also include a mix of retail space and cafes.
Extensive landscaping by Aspect Studio represents Union Balmain’s creator’s hopes of minimising its carbon footprint.
The sustainability is continued inside the apartments with the inclusion of highly efficient appliances, increased insulation, passive and solar-boosted energy, smart meters, natural ventilation, and reduced lighting loads.
Union Balmain is situated amongst bars, cafes and fashion retail and is located within minutes of Balmain village.
The 1.38-hectare site was purchased in 2009 for $13 million and features views to the Harbour, Birchgrove, Cockatoo Island, Iron Cove and Sydney’s CBD.
The Balmain-Rozelle peninsula is served by transportation linking Union Balmain with the Greater Sydney Area.
One-bedroom apartments range in size from 58 to 113 square metres and have a starting price of $625,000.
Two-bedroom apartments range in size from 86 to 147 square metres and start from $860,000.
Three-bedroom apartments range in size from 115 to 249 square metres and range in price from $1,095,000 to $2 million.
According to The Daily Telegraph, 124 apartments - or 60% of the development - were sold on the project's launch.
All residences include secure basement parking and bike bays.
Construction is scheduled to commence in mid-2013 with completion due in early 2015.
