The highly anticipated Mondrian Gold Coast is preparing to open its doors—and delegates at Urbanity-25 will be among the first to step inside.
As part of The Urban Developer’s flagship event, the Urbanity Welcome Party will be held at the $450-million hotel and residential precinct on Tuesday, July 29, offering attendees exclusive early access ahead of its official launch.
The evening will bring together hundreds of property and urban development professionals from across the country for a night of networking, entertainment and hospitality at one of Australia’s most anticipated new hotels.
Located on a prime beachfront site between Broadbeach and Burleigh Heads, the dual-tower development is being delivered by Vitale Property Group in partnership with Ennismore and Accor, marking the Australian debut of the global Mondrian brand.
The property comprises a 208-key hotel, 84 private residences and a lifestyle podium featuring restaurants, a beach club, wellness spa and rooftop bar with ocean views.
At the helm of the development are Chris and Letitia Vitale, co-founders of Vitale Property Group. With a track record across residential, industrial and hospitality asset classes, the Vitales have carved out a reputation for design-led, performance-focused projects backed by long-term asset control and operational insight.
Architect Callum Fraser, founding partner of Fraser and Partners, led the design vision for the project. His coastal-inspired scheme delivers sculptural form, refined materiality and commercial flexibility—meeting both aesthetic and operational requirements for a hospitality asset of this scale.
Together, the development team will headline a feature session at Urbanity-25; The Makers of the Mondrian: The Inside Story of Australia’s Most Anticipated Hotel. The session will unpack the delivery strategy behind the landmark project, covering brand alignment, design execution and market positioning.
For Urbanity delegates, the session and the setting offer a first-hand look at how global hotel branding and local development expertise have combined to deliver one of the Gold Coast’s most significant new precincts.
The three-day conference returns to The Star Gold Coast from July 29 to 31, bringing together leading developers, designers, investors and policymakers to explore the future of the built environment in the Asia-Pacific.
